Vince Campi, the Multimedia Department Chair and creator of the Digital Media Academy curriculum died of cancer on 9/28/25. His memorial service on 11/22/25, at the Church on the Way, will be open to the public. Whether you had him as a teacher or not, Mr. Vince Campi, was a beloved teacher who was part of the original CHAMPS team. Vince took it upon himself to write the interactive digital textbook, the Career Tech ED eligibility, and as the Multimedia Department Chair from 2007-2025, secured grants to create a computer lab with cutting edge equipment, professional lighting and cameras. Eventually, this lab on the first floor would turn into an Adobe Suite Certification exam location, so his Digital Media Academy students would graduate with Adobe certifications. Mr. Campi was not only a teacher, but a mentor, and a passionate advocate for Media Arts and for CHAMPS and our students.

Your gift fuels the next generation of artists, performers, and visionaries. Your dollars will go directly to close the gap between the funds CA State provides for basic public education and the integrated arts education that you once experienced at CHAMPS. This year, your dollars will go directly to:

• Build out Studio Spaces, expand the Mezzanine, and upgrade Science Labs & Robotics Areas

• Lease Arts Production & Theater spaces (at least 4x a year)

• Fund Trips for Competitions, e.g. Robotics VEX State Championship Trip, Music & Dance Invitationals

• Expand Summer Enrichment Opportunities
